SE gonna announce a FFXIII remake this time around?
Nah, probably will announce FFXVI Online.
... coming soon to Apple and Android devices! Please enjoy it.
I thought E3 sold out years ago when the regular public was no longer allowed to attend and it became an 'industry only' event. /shrug Almighty dollar is all that continues to matter.
Yeah, it was industry only through the 90's, 00's, and 10's. Passes to the public only started 2 years ago.
Ah, thank you for the clarity. It's been longer than I remember on that particular topic. I also don't really follow many games to E3 isn't on my radar usually.
*edit* Had something typed had to rewrite it.
From it's inception through 2006 the public could get in very easily. They didn't crack down on checking for industry credentials for a long time.
Yeah you just had to know someone who could get the passes. When I worked at EA, I'd get the passes for my friends, and one of them, his dad had his own side business developing software for teachers to help with grading and stuff so he would hire them for a week and give them fake business cards

My main curiosity for this year is whether Sony/Microsoft will announce their next consoles 'at' E3 (Microsoft already teased it last time), or do it prior so they can focus on what's coming out for it instead, assuming Sony doesn't skip out on E3 again and do things entirely on their own terms.
https://www.polygon.com/2020/1/13/21...2020-ps5-eventIn a statement to Polygon, a Sony spokesperson said: “After thorough evaluation SIE has decided not to participate in E3 2020. We have great respect for the ESA as an organization, but we do not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year. We will build upon our global events strategy in 2020 by participating in hundreds of consumer events across the globe. Our focus is on making sure fans feel part of the PlayStation family and have access to play their favorite content. We have a fantastic line up of titles coming to PlayStation 4, and with the upcoming launch of PlayStation 5, we are truly looking forward to a year of celebration with our fans.”
Duh?! I feel that was a duh. But thanks for the official statement nonetheless

E3 is honestly, probably, "dead" as we know it. Especially after the leak they had at the conclusion of last years event. Itll probably hobble along, but itll be a shadow of its former self kinda like how CES is now.

ESA responds
https://twitter.com/XboxP3/status/1216943255163531264“E3 is a signature event celebrating the video game industry and showcasing the people, brands and innovations redefining entertainment loved by billions of people around the world. Exhibitor interest in our new activations is gaining the attention of brands that view E3 as a key opportunity to connect with video game fans worldwide.”
Phil Spencer chimes in.
Our team is hard at work on E3, we look forward to sharing with all who love to play what's ahead for us. Our artform has consistently been propelled by the cross-section of creativity and technical progress. 2020 is a milestone year in that journey for Team Xbox. #XboxE3 #E32020
