Imagining that part 2 will be PS4/5 and the next 1-3 parts will all be PS5 exclusive, I hope there's one day a Final Fantasy VII R Complete game for PS6 where it's everything in one game.

I’m about to wrap up my playthrough on Normal difficulty. I may go back to some chapters or play a second time through on Hard, we’ll see what my options are.
I’m digging the game so far.
Boy the ESRB was pretty lenient in their ratings of “comic mischief, mild animated violence, mild language”
No mention of use of tobacco or alcohol either. So lax back then. I'm surprised they didn't have to add something about depicting scenes of terrorism for the remake with how things are nowadays.
What is a psychopathic Oedipal villain if not comically mischievous.
You all assumed the ratings board beat the Guard Scorpion and progressed through the game! XD
(Actually is this how it works? One would assume the person rating it has to sit through the game).
Also, the DLC accessories, not free/available in the UK
Been a while and I can't remember if it's the right game, but there was an interesting article from the guy that adapted Metal Gear that touched a bit on ratings/censorship. I'll try to dig it up when I'm back on my PC.
Playing the games "as is" is probably something rarely done to generalize, though. Modern games have also seen some reactive post-launch (un)censoring with updates while likely staying within prescribed ratings.

Though was more about translation nuance than ratings chicanery. So -50 DKP to my memory.

FF7 Remake Part 2 Needs To Make LGBTQ Relationships Canon
Final Fantasy 7 Remake needs to add LGBTQ relationships to the story to help represent modern audience and add better relatability and diversity
People need to stfu and let japan make their game lol. Just give us the Barrett sequence like the original.
Only reason I know what ScreenRant is is because of Pitch Meetings on Youtube. I am now glad that is the case.
The necessity to add certain elements due to social pressure always backfires in quality, feels forced and out of place. Ffs, just give developers/writers their basic freedom.needs to add LGBTQ
I agree, we don't need gay relationships in every fucking game to appease the LGBTQ community, and I say that as a gay man.
I'm still waiting for black representation in Pacman. Fucking racists.
I mean they gave every minor character in Midgar a fucking backstory, it won't be that hard to toss in a "help guy find his boyfriend" or vice versa side quest. But yeah, I think that's the most you'll get from Japan. IIRC they're not very LGBTQ friendly over there, are they?

Representation and diversity being added to games is by no means a bad thing, but the take "this remake of a game lacking in romantic subplots needs gay romantic subplots" is pretty bad, lol. I mean, we're not talking ME or DA etc where there are a smorgasbord of romantic/sexual partners to choose from.
It's a pit, once you start you need to go deeper and people are never satisfied. Just let these people do what they know, which is definitely not nuanced relationships of any kind straight or gay.
