The game was so easy. All I had to do to kill Yiazmat was look up a good gambit combo and let the game run for a few hours.

Am I misremembering or was it possible to “kill” Yuffie in the original? Like you went into combat against her again after the initial encounter and fight her again and she legit dies when you beat her like a regular monster.

As far as I remember, you couldn't kill her off. In fact I think the only character you could miss is Vincent.

You couldn't miss Yuffi? I don't remember her being at all required for the story, and I thought you had to encounter her in that one forest at random in order to trigger her chain of events. Wow it's been so long I don't even remember

Yuffie was an optional character. you could easily miss out on getting her in the party, or miss out on encountering her at all. don't kill her as far as i know if you defeat and don't properly recruit her she just scampers off.

Yuffie was missable. If you don't have her with you by the time it starts, you don't get the Wutai sidequest where she jacks your materia.

i LOVED the gambit system.

Gambit system is the best. I so want to play Zodiac Age.

Its a 15 year old game and pretty sure there are setup exploits/combinations around (I mean, ffs they finish dark souls w/ steering wheel lol). Doesn’t make the overall game any less remarkable.
