The projected path is so fucked now, it looks like a giant fist and a tiny arm.

Scooters (Lime, Bird, etc) are being removed from Miami so they don't become harmful projectiles once the storm hits.
Weather Service upgraded Dorian to cat 3, says it will make landfall on Florida Monday night as a cat 4.

Dropping my brother off at the airport the night before it hits...fml

140-145mph forecast at landfall now, few models are over 150. 160 is cat 5 but that's extremely unlikely.
That was fast, Dorian now a cat 4.

Orlando International Airport will be ceasing all flights as of 2am on Monday TFN
This storm is getting insane though one good thing depending is the track is shifting to WNW vs straight NW so maybe it will skirt up the coast or turn still, unlikely but we can hope.

That still will be really bad if it does that. A few years ago, that Hurricane that I can't remember the name of right now, went up the coast and the eye wall stayed well offshore. So they didn't get the full brunt of it but it was still bad. My family has regularly gone to Florida sinse before I was even born. We usually stay at this hotel just a little south of Daytona. It is not as crowded there but it's on the same barrier island. We have gone so many times that certain shop and restaurant owners know us by name (At least my parents and uncles, etc.) and they exchange emails. Point is I know the area and Volusia county really well. It feels like a home away from home.
We went there the summer after that hurricane. I had watched the news during the storm and they said that Volusia and the barrier island had some damage but it wasn't that bad. 70mph wind gusts, heavy rain, etc. I asked my parents if they had heard anything from the people down there but they said they hadn't gotten any emails lately. Well they own businesses I thought and it's not like we are there best friends anyway. When we got down there I was shocked! Everyone I talked to said it was a lot worse than the news said. The wind damage wasn't the problem it was the flooding. The majority of the damage was on the inter coastal waterway or the river side. The hurricane had pushed water from the ocean up the Halifax river and either damaged or destroyed a lot of homes, businesses. One restaurant we always go to said the water was so high and the current so strong that it ripped the whole building off the foundation and carried it into the river! They had just finished rebuilding like a week before we got there and were not even done yet. I knew something was up when we pulled it the parking lot cause it looked very sparse. They had insurance and the money to do a rebuild but other places didn't. I heard a lot of places just decided to pack it up and you saw a lot of homes with "For Sale" signs. Yikes, I just realized this post has dragged on sorry.
Pray for central Florida and the Florida coast. People who stayed or decided to rebuild and finally got back on their feet and this just might happen again.
The coastline is still bad if the storm is that gigantic. I’m blown away now that it’s doing a random wake-up shoryuken.
Looks like the Carolinas will get the major landfall now on Wednesday.
This shit changes hourly.
This doesn't really shock me, altho if miami could be wiped off the map that would be one pro to this whole situation. That place is a dump.
It's 4 days out. Models change constantly. It's still largely grain of salt forecasting.
I can't remember what hurricane or year it was but the fucking track was insane..it made like two fake out turns to the east before hitting somewhere along the east coast. There's no predicting this shit just educated guesses based on conditions.
It's both fascinating and stressful to watch.

Can it just sit over Mar-a-Lago for about 3 days? Have the sea reclaim its own or something.
