Probably because of the whole director being replaced and re-signed stuff
Yeah aren't they waiting till James Gunn finishes his Suicide Squad 2 before they can even start filming Asguardians 3?
Going to be really weird if Thor 4 comes out before that, but plenty of ways to make it make sense.

Kat Dennings hasn't been asked to return, yet.
Curious how this going to tie-in with GotG. Is Thor going to be asked to dropped off on some planet somewhere and tell the Guardians to pick him later?

My speculation:
Dario Agger
Gorr the God Butcher
Beta Ray Bill or
The Silver Surfer

Dario Agger and Gorr were huge villains in Jason Aaron's run of which the Jane Foster Thor was a part of, Bill is an alien who's worthy of lifting Mjolnir.

I would fully expect Bale to graft a horse skull to his face if cast as BRB.

I can see bale as the surfer. But since it’s thor4 more than likely could be beta ray bill .

I concur. Imo its been one of the biggest differences about the MCU vs marvel comics. Comic villains always get away or thrown in jail to break out and terrorize another day. This allows for great buildup of characters and tensions between future battles with heros. Most baddies die in the MCU after their introduction of one movie. Wasted potential.
(yes, I know spider-man villains have gone gain the grain. Presumably for Sinister 6 or something, but then I'm sure most will die.)
Hela, Ego, and Killmonger. Those are some of the best villains in the MCU who were one and done. Would’ve loved to see more from them.
