But does he talk to fish!?
Screw him. We need a dedicated Hulk movie!

Patrick Stewart met with Kevin Feige about returning as Prof X. Patrick turned him down because of his role in Logan and he felt that was a perfect way to end his run as the character.
I met with Kevin Feige a couple of months ago and we had long, long conversations. And there have been moves and suggestions, which include Charles Xavier.
Here's the problem. If we had not made Logan, then yes, I would probably be ready to get into that wheelchair one more time and be Charles Xavier, but Logan changed all that.
Hugh took my hand, and we held hands with the last seven or eight minutes of the film because there was so many things we were upset about. We were moved by the story. We were moved by one another. We were moved by the movie. But we also both made the decision that we were saying goodbye to our characters as well. In that sense, it was not just the deaths of those two men in the franchise, but it was also goodbye to our part in them as well.
Patrick Steward staying a class act. My man.
Fuck yeah. Let the characters die with dignity. Prefer new faces anyway.

They’ll just use McAvoy instead
The shot of bald McAvoy in the wheelchair at the end of Apocalypse did give me chills, even if the rest of the movie gave me diarrhea.

New actors please.
I dunno, man. For me Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine. I can’t imagine anyone else playing him that well. I never had the same thoughts about the many different versions of Batman, Spider-Man, Superman, etc they were all interchangeable but Jackman IS Wolverine. A close second would be JK Simmons as JJJ.
JK Simmons cameo in the last Spider-Man movie gave me the biggest kool aid smile ever lol
I do but at that point in my life I had already seen Caesar Romero, Jack Nicholson, and Mark Hamill as The Joker and didn’t have strong feelings either way about them being THE definitive Joker like I do as Jackman being Wolverine. Ledger turned in a really great performance (and Joaquin Phoenix supposedly has as well, I haven’t seen his take though) but I still don’t see them as the definitive version of the character either.
Yeah but unlike Wolverine Hugh Jackman ages and he wants to move on. There's always going to be new actors taking up old roles.
Not you personally. Jack was considered THE Joker at the time. The mindset was "why even have the Joker in a movie again after Jack. No one could ever touch that performance." Then Ledger was announced and the uproar was even greater. How was THIS guy of all people supposed to play the Joker? Then the first picture of him in makeup came out and the rest is history.
Not saying they'll nail it, but it's not fair to assume that perfect match isn't out there when it's absolutely possible.

And yes, Joaquin nails it. That's another good example. Hell, they had not 1, but 2 actors live up to the hype reprising an iconic role performed by iconic actors.

Hugo Weaving on not appearing as the Red Skull in Infinity War & Endgame;
By then, they’d pushed back on the contracts that we agreed on and so the money they offered me for The Avengers was much less than I got for the very first one, and this was for two films. And the promise when we first signed the contracts was that the money would grow each time.
They said: 'It’s just a voice job, it’s not a big deal'. I actually found negotiating with them through my agent impossible. And I didn’t really wanna do it that much. But I would have done it.
