I don't even know how to interpret this. Are you suggesting he will play better when making more $? I would think the average person would work/play harder to achieve the guaranteed paycheck vs. suddenly performing better if handed it without warrant.

i mean he's making 2 million dollars and playing at, or above, that pay check. with all these new contracts dak probably won't even get a next contract with the cowboys unless it's in the mid 20s annually. the dudes point is dumb. he's condemning the cowboys front office for something that literally has not happened (paying dak 115m)

All signs point to them paying him Top 5 money. I think they know, we know, and he knows he doesn't deserve Top 5 money, but he is going to get it.

The guy's point is fine, though I just posted it for comedy. They are tossing out contracts like the Rams, but aren't putting up offense or wins like the Rams.

the cowboys have 58m 2020 cap space left. if dak makes 35m of that in 2020 the cowboys wont even be able to field a roster with only 23m left, and that is not hyperbole

Well, here is the equation how I see it:

They won't be finishing in the bottom 2-3 to get a top pick

They won't be spending multiple firsts to move up (Herbert/Tua will command a king's ransom next draft)

0% Dak's team lets him play next season on his current contract (5th year option I think?)

He gets paid big. Jerry and team will have to make room with cuts and start vet min or rookies where they aren't now.

Depends what the tag will cost. Some other QBs will get paid big, driving the tag cost up closer to your aforementioned 35m. The difference between the tag vs. signing him will literally just be (A) not resigning Sean Lee + (B) annual increase to the salary cap ceiling.

I think they are way better off letting him walk than paying that, but I don't think that is what will happen.
