Went with a bunch of friends during college. There's video somewhere of me ordering 10 Double Downs and the cashier looking at me like I had 10 heads. It was terrible. Soggy chicken, plastic cheese, and one slice of bacon. Tossed it.

My mom had Italian ice in her neighborhood in Queens growing up and then never saw it again (there was a place in Arizona but she claims it wasn't the same) until she moved back to New York. I think it's more widespread now but she claims they don't make it like they used to.
