Ardyn is easily the best antagonist in the final fantasy franchise.

The unreleased DLC for XV came out in novel form in Japan and it actually makes Ardyn's story and the game's ending make a ton more sense. Maybe one day they'll do FFXV: Remake and we'll get the full, complete version of the game and narrative.

It gets lost in how many people get hung up in Squall being an emo bitch, but VIII is an absolute top tier story.

Ultimecia and Seifer are great antagonists, and the overall interactions between all the main characters are fun.
