I can't stand Finebaum, but Clark's argument about Eli "ruining the Giant's franchise" was ridiculous. He brought them 2 rings. Giants fans should take that all day. If anyone ruined their team lately, it was their GM.

Eli has 1 winning season since 2013, and all but one of those were with 10+ losses. Other than two anomaly playoff runs, he hasn't won a playoff game. He's been hot trash in many of the games, and while every Giants fan loves the man, we also know that he should've walked away a few years ago.

Sounds like the GM's problem. If any team other than the Pats told their fans "you get 2 championships in the next 20 years, but you're going to suck a lot during that 20 years too", 100% take it without thinking twice. Eli did his thing when he needed to. Cam hasn't done shit except stare at a fumble in the Superbowl. I bet Paul F had poor interactions with him, during his Auburn time.

Completely avoided crucial needs for the team at each draft. The last great pass rusher we’ve had was probably a JPP with all his fingers, the defense got slapped with a 120 million dollar bandaid to only be marginally better than average, and the offensive line was completely ignored for a decade. I love Eli and I’m sad to see him to go, but I’m also glad the scapegoat ass excuse is gone now.
