Well this is all nonsense as these are the things I personally soloed as RDM in the 75 era off the top of my head:

Sky - Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku, Zipcana, Olla Grande, Steam Cleaner, Brigandish Blade, Faust, Despot, and Ullikummi (the only sky mobs I personally couldn't solo were: Kirin, Byakko, & Mother Globe)

Seiryu and Suzaku is personally a surprise, but does it matter? The real goal of Sky was Kirin and Byakko.

No one cares about placeholders.

Sea - all normal mobs for the HQ organs, all Ix'Aerns for the deeds & more importantly magic capes, Jailer of Temperance (which dropped the sword torque) & Jailer of Fortitude

I said maybe RDM could solo 1-2 Jailers, so I was right? You really think its relevant to put soloing normal mobs for organs as an accomplishment?

Limbus - I forget which Limbus' I used to farm solo but there were about 3 of them that even a bad RDM could easily get through 3/4s of the way solo, which was still worth it, and a good RDM could solo fully

When I say you can't do Limbus, I meant you couldn't do Omega or Ultima. IDC about farming other crap, I'm talking terminal content here.

NMs: Behemoth, Adamantoise, Charybdis, Gration, Bomb Queen, Ose, Ancient Goobbue, Bune, Ungur, Guivre, Ash Dragon, & Voluptuous Vivian just off the top of my head
BCNMs/ENMs: There were a tons of these any RDM could solo. Whatever ENM had the antlions and dropped Haguns was fully soloable as RDM and worth huge cash

So two NQ Kings that no one cares about except for BB items, VV, and a bunch of shit no one cares about?

RDM was a broken class when I played.

If you thought otherwise, frankly, you simply didn't know what we were actually out accomplishing all by our lonesome.

Nope I mean that literally, with no irony. Nothing I have done in my life has mattered as much as FFXI. That doesn't mean I haven't done things other people think are important, or valuable, or good -- collecting lambskins from elite schools, passing civil rights regulations, winning life changing money for clients in litigation, national championships for my students.

But for me none of it has mattered. Like the optimal terminal ends for my career are being filthy rich, Supreme Court Justice, or the President. Would give up all of that for an FFXI Classic so I could spend my 40's and 50's sitting in Aery and just cock blocking the shit out of everyone else trying to get something from Fafhogg.

That is the happiest version of me, even if it's not the one most people would say is the best version of me.

The happiest version of me in the multiverse is the one that lives in the universe where XI never left 75 cap and where daily Fafnir was still content in 2023.

I've found playing retail scaled back to 75 with custom content is in many ways more enjoyable than retail 75 was. Sans the social aspect of it, but that is a major variable across any era and more of a personal thing.

Sure, but I just mean that usually we prioritized Fafhogg over Aspid and KB unless we were talking Day 4 vs. Day 10+. But the ideal night was when the nightly raid was just HNM camps back to back to back.

Plus, you know, 3AM or 4AM wake-up calls to do Tiamat, Cerb, Khimara, etc.
