I wouldn't go that far. Consensus is that comp matches based on MMR now, so it's not random matchmaking, it's just no different than any other playlist. Not sure what the point of a ranked playlist is if you're not matching based on rank, but no one asked me..

Izanagi's, Erentil, Lord of Wolves... Those nerfs have been long coming, those I understand though, no problems there. At least Auto Rifles are getting a buff... I've always enjoyed those weapons, hope my Steelfeather will get some action next season if I even log in.

Edit: LW rework is fine too. Emphasis on Hipfire while slightly nerfing the best TTK Primary in the game I think works for the weapon.

I'm surprised they didn't increase the levels each season with the increased level cap. Seems like someone that should have been obvious in order to keep difficulty tiers. Next season, the pinnacle cap should be 980 based on +10 from this season which doesn't even account for artifact levels.

This season also gave good reason for artifact level caps, even if it didn't matter outside of Iron Banner. Having hard caps would be good for things like the upcoming Grandmaster difficulty. Let there be harder content with high rewards that people can't just outlevel.

There was one thing in the notes that stood out to me that I didn't see mentioned:

The Last Word
Reduced stability for Mouse and Keyboard input.

Is this the first time they've done something like this? This seems like something that needs to be done more often due to the differences between controller and m+kb. Recluse is a prime example of this.

Preliminary number crunching suggests that Whisper of the Worm should once again eat Izanagi's ass by a large margin with the proposed changes to snipers. I have to wonder how Xenophage will compare now though. Feel like it's going to be pretty competitive while removing the need to land precision blows on annoying shit like taken captains.

I do agree with the general sentiment that the overall sniper nerfs for some frames may be a bit extreme but I'm just glad I can use a weapon other than Izanagi's now without being suboptimal.
