Any chance this has something to do with the spider verse? Like maybe he isn’t even a big part of the movie it just links the two universe or something?

Wouldn’t be surprised if they somehow get Toby and Garfield back to reprise their roles temporarily and then pass the torch to whoever plays Miles.
If they are lets also get Emma Stone back to introduce Spider-Gwen
Could be an over-arcing plot with the multiverse...multiple spidermans etc
Bring back tobyyyyy

As long as we get Hispanic Spider-Man lets go!
I'm wondering/hoping if Peter meets Miles in this or a fourth movie. Peter hands Miles the reigns for Spiderman duty in NY and just sticks around as a mentor. Possibly have Peter show up in other character's future solo or Avengers movies until his contract is up. Last I read he's only signed up for Spidey 3, but a fourth film is being planned as well. Holland is pretty young so I don't think Marvel is letting him go anytime soon.

If the idea is the spider verse this could turn into something super sick. I’d be surprised if the new venom carnage movie doesn’t somehow play a part as well.
final scene, Tom swings onto a rooftop and a rift opens dumping Tobey and Andrew at his feet. The spider-men point at each other and in unison say "What the f-" cut to black

Benedict Cumberbatch is putting on the cloak of levitation and will reprise Marvel supernatural hero Doctor Strange for the latest Spider-Man movie installment, starring Tom Holland and being made by Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures.
The move puts Cumberbatch in the mentor role that was previously occupied by Robert Downey Jr., who played Tony Stark/Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and by Samuel L. Jackson in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the latter reprising Nick Fury. The role gives Holland a chance to play opposite seasoned actors, gives Peter Parker a father figure and gives the movies extra star power while also tying them to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Strange? Well if that doesn't just about confirm multiverse shenanigans lol
There was talk of Kirsten Dunst returning to her role as well.
I swear to god if they don't bring back toby...
