So 13 Western Conference teams with 6 teams fighting for the eight seed and 9 Eastern Conference Teams with 2 teams fighting for the 8th seed. They said an 8 game regular season but most teams are sitting an an unequal amount of games played (Lakers have played 63 and Dallas have played 67). If they are just making up the difference to play to 71, then teams will have between 4 and 8 games left.

Looks like for uneven games it won’t matter because it will just all come down to winning percentages. Also, since there is no home court advantage and to deal with on court trash talking that is usually drowned out by crowds which won’t be present apparently they are considering pumping in fake crowd noise from NBA 2K lol
50 ~ players don't want to go to Disneyland. NBAPA nearing agreement to let them stay home.

Yeah, the whole "Earth is flat" and blah blah shit he said in the past, but you can't fault him at all for trying to give the players a platform to speak and voice their concerns. It does make me question if the Player's Union didn't already do this. And if not, then why not.One respected NBA player tells me: “Once we start playing basketball again, the news will turn from systemic racism to ‘who did what’ in the game last night. It’s a crucial time for us to be able to play and blend that to impact what’s happening in our communities.”
There's no singular conversation driving discussion among players now: It isn't just the Black Lives Matter movement, or the coronavirus, or bubble limitations, or family concerns, or risk of injury, or money. Many players are discussing and weighing it all.
Amid his reservations on restarting season, Kyrie Irving has lent a strong voice to ongoing call w/ NBA players tonight. One player in text: "He's trying to give players a platform to be able to have a discussion -- on the bubble, racial equality and unity...It's a good call."
Whole lotta people (mostly white) on Twitter being salty Kyrie is doing this and not just shutting up and having all the players going back to playing.

With a looming free agency, Washington Wizards forward Davis Bertans -- a Most Improved Player candidate for the 2019-2020 season -- will sit out the NBA's restart in Orlando, Florida, as a preventive measure, sources told ESPN.
Bertans, 27, is on the cusp of a lucrative, long-term contract and has had two previous ACL injuries.
As an organization, the Wizards are fully supportive of his decision to stay back from the league's 22-team restart and remain determined to sign him in free agency, sources said.
In Washington this season, Bertans posted career highs across the board, including points (15.9) and minutes (29.3) while shooting 42.4% from 3-point range on over eight attempts per game, making himself one of the best sixth men in the NBA.

Sacramento Kings forward Jabari Parker said Wednesday that he tested positive for the coronavirus but expects to join his team in Orlando, Florida, when the season resumes.
"Several days ago I tested positive for COVID-19 and immediately self-isolated in Chicago which is where I remain," Parker said in a statement released by the team. "I am progressing in my recovery and feeling well. I look forward to joining my teammates in Orlando as we return to the court for the resumption of the NBA season."
16 of 302 players tested positive.
Nets' Wilson Chandler opting out to remain with family
Brooklyn Nets forward Wilson Chandler has informed the team that he is opting out of playing in Orlando, Florida.
Chandler cited spending more time with his family -- particularly his grandmother, who raised him, and three children -- as the primary reason for sitting out. The Nets plan to sign forward Justin Anderson, his agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN. Anderson had a 10-day contract with the team in January and appeared in three games.
"As difficult as it will be to not be with my teammates, the health and well-being of my family has to come first," Chandler told ESPN on Sunday afternoon. "Thank you to the Nets organization for understanding and supporting me in this decision, and I will be watching and rooting for our team in Orlando."
Jazz's Rudy Gobert says he still has trouble smelling 3 months after coronavirus diagnosis
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert still has trouble smelling after testing positive for the coronavirus in March, he told French newspaper L'Equipe.
"The taste has returned, but the smell is still not 100%," Gobert said in quotes published Wednesday. "I can smell smells, but not from afar. I spoke to specialists, who told me that it could take up to a year [to return to normal]."
Gobert was the first reported NBA player to test positive for the coronavirus, prompting the league to suspend its season in March.
Asked if he was "100%" to play, the Frenchman said he wouldn't know until he was back in regular competition. He said he still feels "strange things" but wasn't sure if that was because of the virus or simply from the long layoff from basketball, which he called the longest in his life.
Overall, he said, "I feel like I'm in good shape," and that he doesn't feel more tired than usual.
Describing his symptoms a month and a half ago, Gobert said he had some "little things" that scared him, such as feeling as if he had "ants in my toes." He said he had only "very slight" inflammation in his lungs when he went running in the mountains two weeks after his diagnosis.
