Went to Newburgh, NY on Friday night to grab dinner with friends. It's one of those "up and coming" (re: gentrifying) cities that has some good bars and restaurants, but also some super shady shit right next door.

Wife asks me to point out a parking spot if I see one. I point out several and she keeps driving until we hit the sketchy blocks where theres 4 dudes standing on the corner and an old guy blasting music and she decides to park there.

We could have parked right in front of the restaurant, and she parks two blocks down in front of the drug dealers. She's gonna get us jumped one day.

What makes you think it was a black neighborhood? You think only black neighborhoods are sketchy? I'm honestly surprised you're this racist this early in the morning.

Yeah, it's a mix of black and hispanic in the area. I dunno if all the dudes were black, I was trying not to pay attention to what they were doing. As we walked by them after getting out of the car, a woman walks up to one and they start a handoff so I kept my eyes forward and kept walking.

eating that whole pizza last night by myself was possibly a mistake

I felt fancy last night. I made fresh tomato sauce (from grated tomatoes, not canned) and meatballs. While that was cooking I put together a cheese board with nice prosciutto, some brie, lambchopper, and rascal and sliced baguette. Got a fire going in the fireplace and the wife and I sat and ate cheese and meat.

If not for the baby I'm sure I would have got laid last night. Babies ruin everything.
