Hello BGers,

In the past few months I have been working on a game prototype for a "fantasy battle" card game named Cross Arcana.

As you might expect, it draws not just from TCGs but from other games appreciated here (Dissidia FFOO, to name one) so I thought there might be users in here who would enjoy trying it out.

The game core inspiration comes from MOBAs - the champions, not the lanes. Each player assembles a team of three unique characters and then creates their deck with those characters' signature Ability cards.

Like most Arena games, the objective is to defeat the enemy team in battle. But there are two twists about it.

First, there are no Health Points or values to keep track. Victory or defeat are in the hands of the Major Arcana, the 22 Tarot cards you might be already very familiar with. They grant blessings to both players and losing those will eventually spell your defeat.

Secondly, there is no mana or land or energy cost. Instead, it's all about time. The more Abilities you execute when attacking, the more options you grant the defender.

I ended up using Tabletopia to create a "digital" prototype of some sort. I don't know if you are familiar with it, but it's basically a system where you can host digital assets and "simulate" a game session without any actual game mechanics involved.

So here is the first draft of its Rulebook:
