Yeah, second town I got to still had boat exploration available.

Also, don't bother trying to cheat boat exploration with changing the time. >.> Unless someone figures out a work around for it, game yells at you about it basically lol.

Is it just me or is the writing in this game really really bad? Like, it reads like a 5th grader trying to write a story.

Gameplay fun as hell tho

Sounds promising for me. I enjoyed the simplicity of the first game... minus the middle of the game being so boring banging your head into a wall sounded like a good idea.

It gets a little better after the prologue but this definitely ain't Shakespeare.

As an aside, not finna spoil the items but all of the NMs that spawn on the overworld maps have unique rare drops and some of them are more interesting than weapons and armor.

Yeah, good bit into ch1, it's gotten better.

Not expecting Shakespeare, but that prologue was just... really bad.

It's 1 per level + bonus from equipped main job level + accessory bonuses

Some jobs seem to give more than others

2nd game, I broke my 3DS, so never finished it, but I liked how it (just like the first) did some grand

Story's picking up a bit. Not expecting anything amazing, but at least the text doesn't read like it was written by a kid anymore.

Gameplay just gets better and better tho. I do not understand all those reviews QQing about difficulty. I'm playing on Hard, and I only had trouble with one boss so far, and I just went back, did sidequests, and dabbled into the new jobs I had unlocked but not tried yet.

Idk if it's an equipment thing that I'm missing, or if there's future passives, but magic damage has been incredibly lackluster for its mp cost. Granted I haven't gotten the -ga spells yet (switched them out to WHM), but my physical attackers are just doing way more damage.

Think my only complaint so far is how easy the game is. Even on hard mode I haven't felt hard pressed yet and I'm well into ch2. Guess I spent too much time farming NMs

Some of the second passives unlocked when mastering a job feel real broken, but that might just mean late/post game gets crazy hard possibly.

Officially reached ch2, time for some more complaints:

1. Is there seriously no quest log???? Why are quests even numbered if there's no way to fucking track them?

2. Whoever designed some of these back and forth quests needs to quit and never make games again... looking at you lunch lady.
