That's incredibly fucked up.
That's incredibly fucked up.
Predicting Kobe to die in a helicopter crash wasn’t such a huge leap really, it was known that it was his preferred method of travel to get to practice and games or take his kids to games.

Mr. Peanut's death has been put on hold as not to appear insensitive in light of Kobe's death.
NFL Hall of Fame DE Chris Doleman. Brain cancer.
I like how the person who screenshotted that was the guy who was sending the messages that are supposed to be funny because that’s how proud he was of himself to regurgitate something he probably read on the Internet. Loser ass text. Loser ass opinion. Is saying outrageous shit for shock value back in style? Are we back in 2005?
Call out culture at its finest. I don't remember if he was actually convicted or not.
his accuser refused to testify in court after Bryant's legal team leaked her name repeatedly and she received multiple credible death threats at her home address. fwiw this is what the medical sexual assault specialists that examined her thought
During the preliminary hearing, Det. Winters testified that the accuser had been examined the day after the alleged assault by Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE) at the Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
“[The nurse] stated that there were several lacerations to the victim’s posterior fourchette or vaginal area, and two of those lacerations were approximately one centimeter in length,” testified Det. Winters. “And there were many, I believe, 2 millimeter lacerations. Too many to count… [The nurse] stated that the injuries were consistent with penetrating genital trauma. That it’s not consistent with consensual sex.”
case was dropped bc she didn't want to testify
she took him to civil court and there was a settlement that included this apology though did not admit guilt

He was about as innocent as OJ. But did go to great lengths with his second chance to rehab his image and give back to his community, state, profession, and country while trying to further philanthropic efforts in the process. Sucks what it took to get him there, but he did great things after that.
Had it happened more recently, I'm not sure if he would have recovered fully with how cancel culture is.
I took the time to read the transcripts back then. He absolutely raped that woman. It was fucking disgusting.
I get that he did a lot of good afterwards, but painting him as a saint has really been pissing me off. If you think that was the only time he was a scumbag, I've got some beach front property etc and so forth.
He was one of the greatest basketball players to ever live, yes. But he was not a great person.

You see that is what I thought, but I don't remember what came of it.
