NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Wednesday during his annual pre-Super Bowl press conference that some form of tribute to Kobe Bryant is in the works for Sunday around the NFL’s championship game.

“I don’t think just Los Angeles is mourning the loss of Kobe Bryant. Kobe was a special person,” Goodell said. “I did have the opportunity to meet him. He obviously brought a lot to our world and I think all of us not only feel for the tragic events to his family but as well as everyone else who was a passenger on that helicopter. It’s hard to understand and it’s hard to process.

Goodell noted the Bryant tribute Sunday during the league’s annual Pro Bowl, and that there was a moment of silence ahead of the official Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday. “We as a league have been very responsive and I think respectful of somebody who contributed so much to sports,” he said Wednesday. “We also lost one of our own legends last night, Chris Doleman, who I personally was very fond of and meant a great deal to me and the league. I think both of those individuals will be seen on Sunday in some fashion in a respectful way.”

More that I think about it (not that this is a big surprise), it's purely the NFL trying to get in on the good PR of honoring Kobe since they're seeing all of the love he's getting

I was gonna do a huge parlay on this game to win upwards of 10g's but I'm backing down. This game could go anywhere. People expect some big offensive explosion but then I think about Rams Pats. And then there's the hippo that puked on the chiefs logo and the 8/8 Superbowl picking bear that picked the 9ers. I got this bad feeling about betting on Reid and Overs. I think I'm gonna do solely props and fun stuff, no scores spreads or o/u's unless it's for $100 or less.

Plus my friends that do like 50 small bets on tons of stuff seem to have a lot of fun while I'd be sweating bullets till the last minute. Seems the better way to go.

I'm seeing some of the dollars being dropped on money line and wonder what it would be like to have that kind of disposable money. From what i'm seeing, the line really hasn't budged much from the Chief's -1 which is essentially a pick em. I'm with Rhyis, if I had the ability to sports book in my state online, I'd stick to just the prop bets and such. The last few superbowls have had so much crazy shit happen, that honestly any non prop bet is going to be stress inducing.
