CEO is happening this weekend so that's a thing.

For anyone who fucks with Tekken 7 on the PC, someone made a mod that both uncaps the framerate and adds frame interpolation (it also does stuff that someone people have decided is cheating like frame data display during online matches). Been giving it a spin @ 120 fps and it's pretty wild the difference.

It was already on a decline thanks to SFV, but COVID and the complete lack of in person events is absolute murder for fighting games.

No matter what you guys think, SFV didn't "kill" the FGC. It has always had a healthy viewership. You don't personally like it and that's fine.

Covid shit on all scenes and not even great netcode is able to carry viewership because at the end of the day, it's still online gaming in a scene that values offline and in-person events more greatly. GBVS is probably the game that got screwed the worst. Released right before covid with the old school ArcSys netcode so it just didn't even feel that great to play online for the eventual return of offline events.

Punk being Punk and talking massive shit is something the FGC as a whole has been lacking too.
