Right or wrong, it is common throughout all of America, from junior high circles ~ 40 year olds who grew up in groups that used it. It is reinforced by music/movies that people listen to on a daily basis and will remain in common vocabulary, until that type of reinforcement goes away.
When I moved outta NYC I had to train myself to stop saying the n word lol.
My issue is I said it more when I left.
We need to ask Sono to purge this fucking thing lol.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if iirc the one or two bgers who work/ed for the scene got triggered from all the shit being posted here about the same topic and left. So... idk, maybe they are part of the issue being discussed here.
They did? I must have missed that lmao. Oh well, truth hurts.
That would be Calli and TBR that I know of, but I didn't know they rage quit. Not like these FGC threads have been active to notice lol.
I don't know if they "rage quit" but Calli and TBR didn't post much during the release of SFV to begin with I think but back then it really was Spiderdan vs Welt in a FT100.
It was during the e league saga i reckon, there was some controversy and some peeps here got pressed.
tbh i didn't think there was any specific catalyst for them dropping out, i just attributed it to natural forum attrition. could be wrong obviously but i can't remember any specific altercation or anything, i always just figured it was just the result of keeping with the times. over the last decade, the FGC generally moved on from forums to twitter and then discord (which i don't think has been a good development. not to say the forum standard of old was perfect or great, but that's neither here nor there).
i assume most of the people with a material interest in the scene just had to follow suit, whatever their preference.
Blackrose is still active on BG's FGC Discord channel. Calli is full on Twitter.
LTG and Cero have been banned from CPT.
