Yep. 3 Evasion Reloads + Free Ammo 2 so I have 3 shots/magazine. I just enjoy spare shot since sticky ammo can get ate up real fast

Kept wondering why the fuck I wasn't getting the Rocksteady Mantle+ quest, finally realized it was because I never got the Thunderproof Mantle on PC, so that cut the chain off since no upgrade quest.

Just finished a GL run of some guy on Gunlance and the other 3 of us all using Sticky HBGs (Rajang and Zorah), so much fucking fun. Shame for the one melee dude so we couldn't wild out with Cluster Bombs, but still a great time for a group of randoms.

I'm tempted to try Spare Shot to see the difference between that and True Spare Shot some time. Sometimes wonder if it's a flat rate across all ammo or stuff like stickies has a lesser chance of procing.

I believe it's 50% chance for True Spare Shot, and 20% for vanilla Spare Shot, ammo type doesn't matter

For the most part I haven't found it necessary to use TSS with the Rajang HBG, cycling between Cluster/Wyvern/Wyvernheart on knockdowns/stuns keeps me from running out of ammo, and only once did I find myself running out of Sticky 3 (and the monster died like 30 seconds later anyways).

I know TSS is a popular option for a strictly sticky build of the Garuga LBG, since it doesn't have the extra high damage options of the HBG.

Yeah I'm using the Garuga LBG. Pop a few stickies in their face then fill them with holes with piercing or wyvrenblast when they go down.

Anyway Silver/Gold Rath events up on PC. Time to get both sets of silver armor and get my new weeb stick even though I haven't touched it since LBG.

Elemental bow is weaker then just straight raw/blast with the Safi weapons.

honestly most weapon types you generally only need one safi weapon and pump it full of attack upgrades. and yeah, more often then not it's the blast weapon

lbg aquashot for sticky and hbg burstcannon for spread are essentially the only unique builds youll make

Great Sword goes for double Sharpness V and Sleep element, CB usually wants Teostra essence and Para.

the difference between a purple sharpness gs build and a white sharpness build is a whooping 4 effective raw, assuming you can keep that sliver of purple sharpness up 100% of the time. the moment you drop to white sharpness on the sliver of purple build you lose 33 effective raw. that essentially means you need to play perfectly, never hitting non weak points, for a 0.005% damage increase. no thanks

Its really really fucking easy to maintain Sharpness on a GS.

Purple isn't worth it for any other weapon class for the most part, but I haven't had any issues using Acid Glav GS and its 10 hits of purple.

Unless you're running Master's Touch, that would be gone quickly after the wounding attack.

Edit: And if you are using MT, you're dedicating a lot to keeping that tiny sliver of purple.

Also you're comparing #yolo speed running builds that aren't running focus for some reason (not to mention peak performance without a healing augment)

This is what I'm planning to run for GS once Safi drops, with an open gem slot to fiddle around with depending on the situation, and space for Geologist!

This is what I run on gs every day of my life and it has 30 more effective raw, without having to worry about sharpness, while also being able to max out whatever resistance skill i feel like.

So is Safi meant for a 4 man party like Behemoth and Kulve?

its way easier to fight than behe/kulve too. you'll have no problems
