all the weapons initially have nothing on them but the element/status effect. you have to upgrade them with a safi specific material to deck it out how you want

So what's the difference between regular safi and the event safi coming out next week?

its a teaser for the real fight and you don't get any materials/weapons from it. complete the teaser and dont do it again. it's not a fight you need practice for. it's xeno'jiiva mechanics meets behemoth mechanics. shit you've already done on a mob that has less health

Anyway for essence awakens can you stack the same one multiple times? For example could I stack silver rath essence 4 times on a weapon for true crit element?

EDIT: Found a guide that says you can't upgrade essence. Damn.

Can't blame you. True Crit Element is sex but limiting as hell on your gear choices.

i hate the elemental meta in iceborne. drives me nuts 'cause its so much less flexible than the raw meta. true crit is a 4 piece set and safi is a 5 piece set. you can't do much with that, even with the safi weapons. you're essentially stuck

They have said don't get rid of KT weapons yet as they might do something with them. What that means is anyone's guess but MR KT is an easy update to pad content so wouldn't surprise me.

Been hunting Safi non-stop on PS4 and the desire system is in full effect. Lol. Gotten every single weapon except for the particular Great Sword I'm trying to get.

surprised you're having problems. the way it's set up, if you have the weapon type equipped you'll automatically get multiple drops of that weapon type from safi. i think i got all 7 dbs in 3 kills and probably have all 98 safi weapons at this point

I've always had shit luck in this game so it's whatev. Also doesn't help that I've probably been in more failure runs than successful ones even though homie is really not hard at all but whatever.
