he's honestly the most boring fight ever 'cause nobody tenderizes his parts, but if you dont your entire teams damage is cut by like 3/4s, so half the fight i find myself just keeping a debuff up on all his parts. its like being a fucking rdm in ffxi all over again

on the plus side i have all the weapons i want from him fully upgraded, which is like 12

So what are some of the best awakening abilities for lance? Got Safi's explosion and managed to roll and Affinity V. Wondering what else I should go for.

i dont play lance but i'm assuming attack upgrades like every other weapon

Some melee weapons may want sharpness, and CB wants Teostra essence.

Anyway once I fill up all 5 awakening skills can I replace any? I got an essence on mine which is complete crap.

IIRC, the upgrade process was get a low level version of the skill you want, on a slot, and then the weapon will start rolling higher upgrades for it. It's rare to go from zero to top tier, on a roll, but they come pretty quick if you step them up as they are given to you.

You can stack the same bonus if it's the same tier (IE 2 Affinity 4s) but if you get something with a higher tier it will overwrite the current (Affinity 5 will overwrite the affinity 4)

And looks like you can replace stuff on a whim which is helpful. So I can dump that useless essence if I need to.

I'm doing blast lance with Teo Tech, Att 6, Att 5 x3. Health and affinity for augments. Already have the Teo and attack 6, need to grind the last few attack levels and get a gem for extra augment slot to put on affinity. Haven't had to go to GL in ages, liked it that way lol.

Safi set really is a fantastically yolo design.

I was not a fan of bow in Iceborne (compared to it being my most played weapon in Vanilla), but Safi set really makes it fun again.

Yeah that sucks.

It's funny how other builds are more of less playable without the specific gem (Magazine for CB or GL, or Spread for HBG etc), but Bow absolutely fucking needs Mighty Bow to be competitive (on top of ALSO wanting Spread and Forceshot).

Whenever the next festival appears you can always get it that way. Silver Melding ticket spit out the rare vanilla gems like candy.

Edit : actually maybe not lol. Just looking at my gems and seeing the 6 Forceshot, 8(!) Spread, 5 Magazine, and still a single Mighty Bow.

That's what I did too. I had everything else farmed and didn't want to feel bothered by that one missing piece not dropping...

Decided to go blast lance with Sharpness V and the rest full attack. Feel like sharpness has more flexibility than the Teostra awakening, since it gives a lot of white with the option of going purple.

CB is the only melee set that REALLY wants Teo Essence just due to how many goddamn skills charge blade needs to fit in.
