I'm curious what you TLoU gamers thought of episode 5. I'd say it did pretty damn good.

It definitely had its deviations, but the ending slapped me hard across the face. Maybe not as much as the game but still got a reaction. Oof. I won't be sad to see any more Cathleen though. Not convincing at all lol. Glad they didn't forget about Ish.

God damn.
Somehow they made it even sadder than the way it happened in the game.

I was so confused because it's not sunday yet and last episodes ending didn't have anything to warrant these responses. Just realized they released the next episode early.
I lost.

So the setup in the last episode we were expecting the encounter to take place underground as they travelled through it...

Extras!!!
The actor who played Henry is mute IRL and I enjoy it when it's portrayed on screen because it makes it feel much more real. In the extras above, they had the Director of American Sign Language there as the person to coach and interpret for him!
Idk why this episode just didn’t do anything for me. I was expecting this to be one of the saddest moments in the show and it just didn’t hit for me.
it should've hit way harder but it just falls completely flat. i watch the game scene and its shock/surprise better and even more bleak.

I enjoyed the shows interpretation, i like the behind the scenes show case they are doing too it helps to showcase why they do what they do

While I enjoy watching the behind the scenes for a lot of shows I enjoy, I despise the concept of having to digest that content to “get” what they’re trying to display/communicate in the show itself. Looking at you GoT.
instead of show don't tell, they prefer show poorly then tell in depth
I thought the ep was solid, but like 6 too many crucial last second sniper headshots, kinda ridiculous sequence
he warmed up dont hate
