yeah Heavensward is still my favorite storyline. It's pretty fuckin rad, especially after the slog it takes to get there haha

Heavensward was the first time the main story started feeling more like a single player RPG with your friends traveling with you, while ARR was mostly you running around doing everything solo. I think that helped a lot.

Think I’m going to be doing full time GNB for a bit. That’s two nights in a row a daily roulette dungeon was abandoned because the tank was completely fucking clueless.

tank or healer; either will give you significant control over dungeons. tank is obvious, but healer can effectively tank as long as people aren't pulling extra shit when you're not ready. i've healer-tanked more than a few dungeons when tanks got pissy or d/c'd. i'm not sure it'd work on level 80 dungeons (the scaling got way steeper 70-80), but it's worked on every previous tier.

but yeah. tanking's fun. just don't forget to use your mitigation cooldowns on regular pulls- you actually usually need them more there than on bosses. bosses hit for a specified amount tuned for whatever level you are. pulls can vary quite a lot in size.

70+ DRK is really fun once you get The Blackest Night, kinda sucks before that

Having leveled them all I think my preference goes GNB, DRK, WAR, PLD

They all have their strengths and weaknesses, I just really like the aesthetic of GNB and how active it feels.

Had to pry myself away from the game to try and get some sleep. Between playing GNB and the Heavensward story I’m having a blast. Just finished the Nidhogg battle.

Yeah. Judging by the illuminating crystal cutscenes I figure I’m roughly half way through the expansion, I.e 3 out of the 6 are lit.

Remember to be grabbing Aether currents whenever you can so you can unlock flying in the zones. Some are locked behind quests with the blue emblem over the quest giver. Don’t ignore ‘em.

Not to be a bitch but man it hit me hard. I remember thinking during the end of ARR while running away in the Ul’dah tunnel “Yo we need to get the fuck outta here and head to my nigga Haurche to cash in debts from Ishgard.”

The Coerthas stories during ARR were my favorite. I think that’s why I’m really loving Heavensward.
