Welcome to current American education, where kids don’t get grades, held back, etc. from k-8 leaving them with a 9 year habit of not having to give a fuck about doing the work. That’s a really hard habit to break. Then they get to the 9-12 where teachers will get fired if they fail too many kids, and here we are.
You won’t believe how I’ve had to defend teaching Huck Finn this year (a 9th grade text) for being “too hard” yet have to deal with the kids grades being “too poor” on benchmark testing in the past when the test has them read 9th grade level content.
This shit is full on broken and no one is stepping up to fix it.
I had a discussion with some teacher friends about how its impossible to fail a kid under these current circumstances.
if the student does literally nothing, i can assure you it is still possible
however, the student can petition to have the grade changed to “no credit” so it doesn’t affect their gpa, which will almost certainly go through, but they’ll still have to retake the course
that's horseshit. An F used to be a badge of honor
Dude in high school got a zero in home ec. His final mark was literally a 0. We figured he'd atleast get a few points just for showing up.

I absolutely cringe when I see people in my sales department putting together a proposal in comic sans. WE ARE NOT IN KINDERGARTEN, SUSAN, FUCK.
you dont get held back in college bro
The entire genre of YouTube reaction videos can be directly traced back to 2 Girls 1 Cup.
this may be hard to believe, but i have never seen it
people had already told me what it was, and i was like “well i don’t need to see that then”
You can make big YouTube ad dollars now by filming a reaction video, better make sure you get a good thumbnail though
Heck I love a good reaction video.
