So a few weeks ago had a random dream about my ex having some serious medical issues. I'm friends on Facebook with him but we rarely talk much. We dated from 2002 to 2007.

Today he posts he is in the hospital due to heart palpation over the wekeend and had dizziness and weakness at work. After several tests they concluded he has decreased cardiac activity.
I can't say I'm surprised as he was obese when we were together and even after I lost weight and he asked me to help him , he world just eat junk all the time and was basically a basement dweller, literally all the stereotypes.
He has easily gained 100lbs since we separated in 2007.

I hope this is a fucking wake up call as he has two young kids , oldest is only 5.

He knew full well what the food and weight was doing to him, and even though he was making appointments for doctors and whatnot, no pill was going to fix or makeup for what he was eating and the lifestyle he was leading. It's real fucking tragic. Hope your friend makes changes and gets better.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Lost my father in law about 3 years ago to a terrible situation. He had stents but retired so his long time cardiologist wasn't seeing him, and a new one ignored some massive signs. His poor wife basicxally watched him die and Melena was understandably devastated. I lost basically the only real father figure I knew as well.

I may hate the way he treated me but have moved past that and his love for his kids is so apparent that it would still break my heart to see harm come to him. Looks like he will need to speak to cardiologists tomorrow and just hoping that he caught this early.

Also a morbid reminder to myself to stop fucking around with my health and get back on track where I used to be.

earlier today i saw a car in front of me suddenly swerve to the right across all 3 lanes and into the railing. never seen that happen before, was prolly a stroke or road head.
