Well that was out of left field. Not like WWE has done jack and shit with him over the last few years, even when he was wanting to help put over newer wrestlers to help get them established.

There were some other comments like he should just enter and exit the tunnels in AEW at random just to fuck with the audience

I'm hoping that this leads to him making an appearance on the Go Big Show now that he doesn't have to worry about WWE.

Rey Fenix vs Lance Archer was wildly entertaining.

Loved the fist bump at the end.

General Wrestling VI: Did You Come Here To Fight or Did You Come Here To Drink?

I don’t know why everyone gargles Moxley’s balls so much. He’s a great value brand Austin who takes himself way too seriously. His in-ring work is nothing special either.

Surprised there wasn't a paid ad from Tony Khan included in there somewhere.

The fact that Daniel Bryan came in 2nd place for the award named after him is hilarious to me

Probably because he's finally being allowed to be himself versus what WWE wanted, so people are seeing a significant improvement in promo's, matches, etc. Plus the feud's he was in, even in matches he won, he was elevating others. Eddie Kingston being a huge example of someone I guarantee the majority of WON subscribers never heard of until earlier this year.

Yeah, he's even laughed about it and said that even before retirement that ZSJ had already surpassed him anyway.

Xno with a spicy take in this thread! I didn't really see enough of him in 2020 to really comment on him, but at least in 2019, there was really a sort of fresh air about Mox that was great to see. Related, the Strong/New Beginning show with his match against KENTA is right after SD tonight.

Moxley's feuds carried AEW thru 2020. His programs with MJF and Eddie Kingston were fantastic

WWE trying to make Apollo Crews heel by having him cut a promo saying he is African American and getting back to his cultural roots during black history month is some peak old man Vince. Apollo looked and sounded fresh though.

For anybody who's not been on top of things, Castle Attack 2nd night is tonight with 4 title matches

    Tana vs. O'Khan
    GoD vs. Goto/Tacos
    ELP vs. Despy vs. BUSHI
    Ibushi vs. Naito

I'm not sure what the worst Ibushi/Naito match was, but I don't remember any of them not being great. The story with the match is just bizarre. Ibushi wanted to unify the titles. Naito doesn't want him to unify them, but wants to win it and then retire the belt in 6 months if he has "no worthy challenger". Seems to me that both would be happy if the IC title just didn't exist. Just throw it in a dumpster and call it a day, boys.

From last night's Castle Attack and Strong, Okada/EVIL was the combination of the worst of both of them, White/Ishii was more or less what I'd hope for there, and Mox/KENTA was a pretty good match that might have been great if they had a crowd.

Looks like the NWA has been sold again. Meltzer says an announcement will be coming soon and that it is good news. He says it is NOT AEW related. So, curious to see what happens here.

    Castle Attack...

    Spoiler: show
I laughed when those tools got swept at WK, but with NJC around the corner, I guess it's time to actually do something. Right, gotta give Kojima momentum before NJC. Say what? I love Kojima, but that's just bizarre. Ospreay's making the finals of NJC, right? Him vs. Shingo? Just throwing that out there before the bracket revealed.

"What company put a belt on Chase Owens now that there's enough tape on him to know that he's terrible? Oh, never mind."

GoD having like an all-time resume is laughable. They're not a bad team, and from time to time they will have a great match, but they're an unspectacular team that might not even exist if another unspectacular team hadn't fled to WWE.

Half the reason I was disappointed in the result in the opener was because "they're not going to have these bums all lose again, right?" lmao. Tana is the best in the world and goddamn the man made me think that he was losing that match. OKhan still terrible, but that was better than his other matches.

It's not NJPW's fault since they rarely do multi-man/team matches but the extended "Despy on the ramp" part is just the "k, can we skip this stuff that doesn't matter and get to his return?" Also, just too much WWE has me so conditioned to think that BUSHI was there just to eat the pin. I thought they'd go with ELP to give Despy (or even Sho) a chance to chase through BOSJ, but I'm happy to be wrong about this. Sucks that it took Hiromu getting hurt, but glad to see Desperado finally get his due.

Was that the weakest outing between Ibushi/Naito? Still was pretty good. lol @ Kevin Kelly's mic issues when trying to do his dumbass "Destinooooooooooooo" Hopefully he'll take that as a cue to stop doing that forever. Desperado to challenge? Oh right, Anniversary show. Makes even more sense why he won earlier. Let's go Despy ALL BELTS!
