So for the AEW/BTE fans, tonight is the night. The two lovable losers of Brandon Cutler and Peter Avalon go one on one. Will one of them pick up the win, or will it be a double count out? Or maybe, the Bucks make their anticipated heel turn, superkicking the shit out of Avalon and Cutler, forcing them to team back up to go after the Bucks?
David Finley murdered flip on twitter.

PWInsider says that Mickie James was not injured in the match against Asuka. The plan was for her to tap to the Asuka Lock anyway. But she sold being loopy so well that people in the back thought she was legit out on her feet and called for the match to end.
Imagine being so good at selling that you fooled your bosses into ending your match lol
Flip being a dumbass is nothing new. The guy isn't even any good on-screen either.
Apparently NXT is pushing out another Takeover in 3 weeks. Can they just stop and put in the actual work rather than just rushing into these? I know it'll be like 6 weeks between, but NXT has a major problem right now in that they really don't build anything. They just have people go do matches.
Not buying that Mickie explanation or the claims from backstage. The ref screwed up and they're just trying to cover.
Io's next challenger to be determined by a battle royal. Balor's by a gauntlet elimination match (set intervals for entrances). Wonderfully lazy booking, NXT.
With this Underground thing on Raw, NJPW doing the KOPW thing, and ROH bringing back the PURE championship, I guess NXT UK decided they needed something new too. There's an upcoming "Heritage Cup Championship". Matches are 2 out of 3 falls and have six 3-minute rounds with 20s break between. DQ or knockout ends the match outright. It will be defended under the same rules (until they predictably water them down/remove them/unify the titles and drop this). 8 man tournament featuring A Kid, Dave Mastiff, Flash Morgan Webster, Trent Seven, Alexander Wolfe, Noam Dar, Joseph Conners, and a "wild card". Pete Dunne is doing the drawing for the matchups next week.
Can Impact bring back the Grand Championship too?
I really liked the first episode of the ROH Pure Tournament. It's really different than anything out there that I'm aware of.
Oh yeah, I saw that on ROH's site too. Do you know if it was just for that episode or is it a normal thing that they have the last episode available on there?
Personally, I think the Pure title is a great concept and some of the early times when I was watching/following ROH was during Nigel's run. It's close enough to the standard rules that it doesn't necessarily rule people out, but also is distinctive enough that it feels different. I wish more titles were handled in a similar manner.
I believe the episodes get syndicated on Sinclair stations over the weekend and then get put on the roh site and fire.tv on Tuesday.
Fucking hell, I didn't realize how bad Ivalise was sandbagging Thunder Rosa on Dynamite last week. I know she's pretty much burned bridges everywhere due to her attitude, but was hoping she got past that as I loved her in LU, and then she has to go prove me wrong.

Chuck Taylor is now a 5 star wrestler
(Meltzer gave the parking lot match 5 stars)

5 stars out of... 8. I did like Meltzer's hilarious comment about Omega earlier this week. No idea what even brought it on (I think it was on the Observer message boards), but it was something like that he's the greatest storyteller in the history of wrestling. Quite a claim there, Dave.
G1 Climax begins in the morning. Day 1 matches: Ospreay/Yujiro, Cobb/Taichi, Ishii/Suzuki, Shingo/White, Okada/Ibushi
Stardom's 5 Star Grand Prix ended. The winner is...
Spoiler: show
The state of the tag division in WWE. Oh boy, wait til you see this triple threat match if you haven't seen an announcement.
The gauntlet match for NXT is KUSHIDA, KOR, Cameron Grimes, Timothy Thatcher, and Bronson Reed. Seriously? There are some potentially good matches in there, but none that Finn should take more than 10 minutes to win based on their position in NXT and recent form. Great job booking this impromptu Takeover, Trips!
Oh neat. Retribution and at least they're not pretending to keep them masked anymore.

There's so much I don't like about all of this, but Rey may be the most unintentional funny promo ever.
omglol
Dio = Mace
Dijak = T-Bar
Thorne = Slapjack
Can't wait for Mia and whatsherface to get their names revealed.
Those have to be some of the dumbest names I’ve seen in awhile for wwe lol. The rosebuds were more intimidating than these jerkoffs.
Vince must have walked in on someone playing final fight and went yeah, that's our new factions members names. That's such good shit!
