I appreciate that you guys seem to think Biden is a good candidate in any situation outside of vs Trump. And he's not even a good candidate vs Trump, lol.

Biden leads on competency (+9), COVID-19 (+11), health care (+15), addressing concerns of race (black community +19, Latinos +24), women's issues (+21), bringing the country together (+25).

Trump scores better on dealing with China (+3), the economy (+11), and cutting the unemployment rate (+13)

Wonder how long Trump's economy leads hold as the COVID drag on the economy continues.

If electability is part of your metric, there is never a situation Biden is not a better candidate than Bernie.

It's certainly not the highest priority for me. I'd prefer someone that'll actually help the nation and not simply "not actively harm the nation". Oliver summarized Biden really well last night with: "shot in the leg rather than the heart candidate..."

    This honestly isn't true, though.

Bernie/Liz's ideas were always going to need to come from the Legislative branch. AFAIK Biden hasn't said he'd veto any progressive legislation and he has gone to pretty great lengths to attempt to include the relevant lefty players in his policy groups.

I don't understand why this is even being talked about now. It's over, Biden is going to go vs Trump. Why the fuck are we even talking about this now? You don't want Trump? You get Biden, it is that simple. Anything else, or trying to push any other narrative is simply grandstanding.

Sanders also doesn't help down-ticket, which is what you need to pass any progressive initiatives. Sanders backed Congressional candidates got wiped out as badly as him.

Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez in Texas, Charles Booker in Kentucky, Andrew Romanoff in Colorado (polls have him at 12%), Betsy Sweet in Maine (close behind at 17%)

Technically we haven't gotten to the convention yet, so Biden can be replaced by anyone.

Too bad Cuomo threw away all that good will with his reactions on these protests

    Re: The Bernie conversation.

I saw the term "Hipster Posturing" in a Twitter thread.

    Seemed fitting.

I know Mittens did bad with the black vote against Obama but I'm fairly certain 2% is a lie.

This says 6% from exit polls, but I can't find the more accurate voter file info

    https://ropercenter.cornell.edu/how-groups-voted-2012

Regardless, bragging about getting 8% of the black vote is amazing in any circumstance lol
