The Caps reporters havent posted about what their 31-man roster is going to be. Believe they had 33 or 34 in camp. And Samsonov never practiced which leads me to believe he wont be part of it (not a great look to have the #2/1B all year and future #1 not in the playoffs)

David Pastrnak is expected to travel with the Boston Bruins to Toronto in advance of the Stanley Cup Qualifiers. The status of forward Ondrej Kase is not as clear.

"Pastrnak and Ritchie, I believe will be traveling," Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said Saturday, referring to forward Nick Ritchie, who has missed the past three practices. "Kase, I'm not sure. I guess we'll get a confirmation on that tomorrow, but that's my understanding."

I can tell you from first hand experience that the arizona coyotes are a dumpster fire of an organization no matter how well they played on the ice. Their back end and office is trash tier garbage.

Max Pacioretty did not travel with the Vegas Golden Knights to Edmonton on Sunday for the Stanley Cup Qualifiers because of a minor injury.

The forward's status for the Golden Knights' exhibition game against the Arizona Coyotes at Rogers Place in Edmonton, the Western Conference hub city, Thursday (10 p.m. ET; NHLN, FS-A PLUS, NHL.TV), is unknown.

"He's not with us and he'll join us as soon as he's healthy and able to participate," Vegas coach Peter DeBoer said Monday.

Aaron Ekblad will play for the Panthers against the New York Islanders in Game 1 of their Stanley Cup Qualifier series Saturday.

The defenseman practiced Tuesday in Toronto, the Eastern Conference hub city, after missing the Panthers' final two practices in Florida. He will not play in their exhibition game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday (Noon ET; NHLN, FS-F, SUN, NHL.TV).

"We've been cautious with him over the last few days, but he wanted to practice in the worst way," coach Joel Quenneville said. "He was out there today, crossed a barrier there and he's good to go."

Dougie Hamilton is still considered unfit to play, coach Rod Brind'Amour said prior to practice in Toronto.

The defenseman hasn't practiced since last Wednesday, when he left the ice in discomfort during power play drills.

"I would think he's still unfit, that's the latest," Brind'Amour said. "It would be great if I get [to the rink] and I'm told otherwise, but I don't think that's going to happen."
