I don't know which tier to get... I'm tempted to do Digital + Physical because I don't want to risk delay on playing because I bought physical, but I also want beta access...
Ya I feel like I gotta do physical for the beta access
Yeah I did Digital + Physical
Welp kickstarter went down as I was about to do it.
Hope that means it's doing well lol
Funded
Stretch goals gogogo
So happy. I really wish I was in a better financial position to contribute more, but between student loans and trying to buy a house... yeah. I really wanted those statues but I'm happy with my shirt. I have some Suikoden shirts that I wear the hell out of (and are sadly never recognized qq) so I know that will get good use, and super pumped to help support this!
Kickstarter broke again lol
Take fucking notes, AAA companies. What you think is a dead genre was never dead. You just ignored it because it wasn't bringing in lootbox money or because you fucked up your last game of it.
Spoiler: showhttps://rabbitandbearstudios.com/eiyudenchronicle/Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a brand new, high quality JRPG from Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden I&II) and Junko Kawano (Suikoden I&IV), in their first collaboration in 25 years.
Story - Welcome to the Continent of Allraan
Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values.
By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves,
and desert people who live there. The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic.
Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further. It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village,
meet each other and become friends.
However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war, and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.
Salutation
We, at Rabbit & Bear, have recently announced our new title “Eiyuden Chronicle”.
It’s a game that the team has put its heart and soul into. Basically, it was a challenge to ourselves – “Can we not make the most interesting game of our lives? No limits. Just following our creative paths as they are” In all my years of development the number one thing that has made me happy is hearing a fan express enjoyment at playing my games.
So that’s what I’m setting out to do with “Eiyuden Chronicle”—To make as many fans happy as possible. However, we can’t do it alone. In order to succeed we need your strength, support, and hope.
Right now more than ever, we need heroes to realize this dream. We hope you’ll join us!
Yoshitaka Murayama
It was the last real one.
Just like how I ignore BK Nuts & Bolts, I too ignore Tierkreis and the woven web of whatever.
I don't know whose bright idea it was to take a game that thrives from, you know, continuous world building, to some stupid multiverse stupid shit that completely negates everything. It's like the SO3 plot line, but worse. Waaaay worse. It's like making a Game of Thrones 2, where the premise is that Tyrion really was a time traveling fetus, except while traveling back in time, he got split into infinite copies and created an infinite number of parallel universes. Now, with that backstory in place, you might be thinking, hey, at least we have Tyrion, so the show should be hilarious, right? Wrong. Enjoy this show with some extremely "loose" references (hey, there's magic dragons! that counts as a reference, right? right? right????) with zero of the characters and locations you've grown to love or hate over the last however many seasons that show had! But hey, it takes place in the same multi-verse, so it's totally ok to call it GoT2!
I'm bad at writing so I'll stop here but you get my point.
Passed the $750,000 mark!
