I really loathe the banners outside my work. Maybe a very small section of R&D is doing actual CoVID work. Next door is a clinical lab running CoVID tests 24/7. We're just doing work and not saving lives ffs. But somehow were heroes and I hate that corporate messaging.

Calgary went on "lockdown", and oh man the scathing words I've seen on bookface over this "lockdown". You'd think this lockdown was full scale authoritarian NO ONE CAN BE OUTSIDE shit.

Closed: Conference venues, banquet halls, trade shows, etc. Children's play places, indoor playgrounds. Team and individual sports (with exceptions to be considered)
Social gathering limits: no gathering indoors, outdoor social gatherings or weddings or funerals with a limit of 10, fines for people who dont follow these rules
Closed businesses: NONE, nothing is fucking closed, but walk-in's are not allowed. Hair salons, esthetics, mani/pedi, waxing, piercing, tattoo, massages, acupuncture, lawyers, accounts, taxis, hotels/motels/holiday inn, private lessons...all open
Restaurants and bars...all open, dine-in still allowed, 6 people per table from the same household. Last call at 10pm, closed by 11.
Places of worship still all open, limited to 1/3 capacity mask mandatory.
Library, cinemas, museums, casinos (slots only), amusement parks, bingo halls, fitness centers, dance/yoga, gym, swimming pools...all open at 20% capacity.
All forms of retail are still open at 25% capacity.
Schools stay open, grades 7-12 move to at home learning.
