Haven't we all
Haven't we all
Spending even a small fraction of all of the extra time isolated and indoors on Twitter would psychologically damage anyone, especially 18-24's, who are Twitter's primary userbase.
Social media in general really.
If all you're seeing are videos of Trump being an idiot and conversely liberal outlets telling you how fucked the world and society is, man. Not that it's not true, but usually people have social lives and positive reinforcement to balance it out. Not so much right now.
I mean statistically
that you can link to
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced in an IG Live video that he, his wife, and their two children had COVID19 in the last month but have since recovered.
I dunno if I should post this in this thread, the general election thread or the cop thread, but here y'all go

COVID-19 has killed more police officers this year than all other causes combined, statistics show
In a speech this week in Pittsburgh, Joe Biden linked the Trump administration’s mismanagement of the coronavirus to its handling of protests and riots with a surprising statistic: “More cops have died from COVID this year than have been killed on patrol,” he said.
The Democratic presidential nominee’s claim is true, according to data compiled by the Officer Down Memorial Page and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, two nonprofits that have tracked law enforcement fatalities for decades.

PS. not to trigger BG too much, but bar charts without confidence intervals are dumb
Bar chart - I don't understand numbers, so plz make it simpler because my monkey brain can intuitively compare lengths
Bar chart with an axis not centered at 0 - Like a proper bar chart, but with no intuition given
Bar chart of a relative measurement - What are we even doing?
Real men use pie charts!
Looks like Michigan just got the green light to open Gyms next week. My gym is an "Athletic Club" meaning it isn't a small place (Think indoor basketball size x6). I really have missed my weight, but I will have to see how strict they are with masks, etc before I really start going back.
That said, 70% of gyms have been open anyway, just not mine because it is connected with a hospital. I didn't want to risk going to the gyms opening illegally.
I think you're a madman if you're going to a gym anytime soon.
I'm loco
I've been working out in a gym since the shutdown began. One of the Pros of 1) lifting at a local gym 2) holding state records for lifting in Michigan. But yeah she kept them closed for so long because they sued her and it was pettiness and created the prohibition and speakeasy gyms/fitness clubs.
Neither of those reasons make it any more okay to be indoors with a bunch of sweating, profusely breathing individuals with ineffective HVAC lol
Your gains are not more important than someone elses life dude
