    Mechanical Keyboards

Anyone else on BG living that custom keeb life?

I recently got into the hobby and I'm addicted. Right now I'm rocking the kbd fans MK II, c3 tangies, and GMK 8008 keycaps.

Most I've done is custom keycaps on my filcos, I've always wanted to take the time to custom but I don't know if I want to lube and do more than change out the cord for one of those sweet coiled paracord looking ones.

Probably getting a Leopold soon And there's not as much to do with that. I follow the MK Reddit and have been for years I'm surprised I haven't spent a dime yet.

Yeah, lubing is super time intensive but I think it's worth it for the improvement in sound alone. I hate scratchy sounding presses and lube can also add a little 'thock' sound to the right switch.

Mice almost unanimously suck for one reason or another and it really depends on what you want. As much as I hate Razer as a brand the Naga Pro wireless has been working out great for me. Optical switches so the usual double click issue I have with mice after about a year hasn't happened yet in the 18mo of heavy use I've put it through.

For keyboards I use a Logitech G915 TKL. Awesome mechanical low profile wireless keyboard, if I didn't move it between computers and laptops all the time I'd prolly get the full size 915. Great full aluminum body and overall great build quality and feel.

Issue with both of these is they're quite expensive but imo worth the price overall.

I've got the keychron k2 v2 with the alu frame. Basically I want to try out a few different kinds of switches, but they are hard to take out.
