Charlotte 49ers cancel game vs. North Carolina Tar Heels due to COVID-19

Charlotte was forced to cancel its game against North Carolina on Saturday because it did not have enough offensive linemen to safely play the game, the school announced Thursday.

Over the past two weeks, the school said three players have tested positive for the coronavirus, but contact tracing led to several offensive linemen being placed in quarantine. Charlotte did not provide specific numbers on how many linemen had to be quarantined.

College Game Day will travel to Louisville, as #18 Louisville hosts #17 Miami for a 7:30pm kickoff on ABC.

Other games of note this week:

Syracuse at #25 Pitt, 12pm on ACC Network
South Florida at #7 Notre Dame, 2:30pm on USA Network
#14 UCF at Georgia Tech, 3:30pm on ABC

That's about it. Things will pick up more next week when the SEC begins play.
