I guess im left wondering why this is making news 8 years later.
The report just seems to be releasing now, for whatever reason. Why such a delay?
Cause he is no longer a coach at LSU so they don’t care, duh
Kansas + Les Miles have mutually agreed to part ways
Sounds like the first mutual decision Miles has been involved in for a while
HIYOOOOOO
nebraska last year: WE WANT FOOTBALL. GIVE US FOOTBALL. WE WILL SUE YOU IF WE DONT GET TO FOOTBALL
nebraska this year: i would prefer not to

Wtf
At face value, schools cancel games and look for replacements all the time.
Is this just making news because of Nebraska last year and its a decently sized rivalry on a big anniversary?
it’s 100% because it’s nebraska
both because of their “we want football at any cost” last year, along with still trying to claim theyre nationally relevant and at the same time “we can’t play them, we’ll get curb stomped”
Nebraska should be pushing to play the game in a dive bar bathroom then.
Yeah yeah.. that's great and all but this..If the NCAA Football Rules Committee gets its wish, college football teams will be required to run two-point plays after scoring a touchdown in the second overtime -- and would run nothing but alternating two-point plays if the game goes three overtimes or longer.
YES PLEASE!!Shaw said the NCAA Football Rules Committee also has proposed introducing a postgame mechanism that would allow teams to submit video evidence if it feels an opponent was feigning injuries to stop the clock or slow down a team's momentum.
"This was the biggest discussion we've had [on feigning injuries] since I joined the rules committee," Shaw said. "It's tough. What we're talking about is ethical conduct and unethical conduct by coaches trying to influence the game. It's hard to put on the officials and it's hard to put something in play for that small percentage of unscrupulous coaches without punishing everybody else."
Under the committee's proposal, the video would be reviewed by someone such as the national coordinator of officials.
"We have so many camera angles and TV angles now," Shaw said. "The last few years, we've been able to see some things that if they didn't turn your stomach so much they would be comical. We've seen coaches give signals and guys just drop. We're trying to find a way to stop that practice.

All about the fake penalties being dealt with, but college overtime is fine just the way it is. Stop messing with it.
My only concern in dealing with the fake penalties is people who try to walk it off and clearly cant, so it looks like they just took a dive in the end.
Central Michigan QB John Keller in serious condition after being shot
Central Michigan quarterback John Keller was among two shooting victims at an off-campus party Saturday night, university officials said Sunday in a statement.
Keller was in serious condition, according to CMU president Dr. Bob Davies, and another CMU student who was shot, Tyler Bunting, was in stable condition.
According to the CMU student newspaper, CM Life, an investigation determined that several subjects arrived at a party, and shortly after, a fight broke out. Sheriff's department officials said in a release that someone went to a vehicle during the fight, retrieved a weapon and then started firing at the party.
SEC breaks its own record, again. Total dominance:

seems a bit much. 6 or 8 should be fine. this is like 15ish games for the winner
(nothing will probably change anyway)

12 teams is just too many. I get wanting to draw up more games as playoff contests for the TV and stadium revenue...but you're easily letting in 4 subpar teams...maybe as many as 6 in a 12 team format. Subpar where those teams simply don't belong with their regular season W/L outcome. You're compromising too much of conference play, rivalries, and regular season relevance for money in a 12 team format.
Firm believer in Power 5 conference champion and then 1-3 wildcards with 1 WC always relegated to highest ranked non-power 5 champion (man up and join a conference ND). I like 6 teams better to give #1 and #2 a bye for earning that spot, but seed 8 teams and then just go is that perfect medium between not compromising the regular season and games like the Iron Bowl while still banking extra marquee "Bowl" playoff games.
