Just finished Shadowbringers 5.0 storyline in FF14 and I have to say I’m so god damn glad Yoshida is spear heading this with no trace of Nomura lurking about. Add the battle director for DMC5 onto this and consider me officially hyped.

Stuff that was "revealed" during today's FF14 livestream stream thanks to Yoko Taro being Yoko Taro.
- FF16 story scenario finished
- FF16 English VO is almost done recording
- No FF16 info at TGS 2021 unfortunately
Or Gamescom
These 2 points were clarified today at Washanaga.
- It's not the case that Japanese VO is already completed, and the first (English) localization is nearly done. All cutscenes have actually been filmed in British English first, with full facial mocap of British actors (unlike FF7R where SE's usual AI-generated facial animations and lip-syncing were used). Japanese (and all other) dubbing will follow completion of the initial English.
- Yoshida says FF16 will miss TGS because the team wants to show it "shortly before the game launches, rather than drip feed fans snippets of information over a long period of time." I feel like this is really makes a Q4 2022 release promising.
Good, long-term hype tends to backfire, glad they learned.
The fanbase deserves Yoshi P as producer. I really hope the game doesn't disappoint.
Yeah I'm okay with this. Next reveal coming with the release date would be amazing
Yoshida can't catch a break can't he. Hopefully this won't be another main FF title that keeps being delayed for years.
'eh, to be fair, it's not like most people can get a PS5 still, so them taking longer before releasing this only benefits them as far as sales numbers goes since I doubt there'll be that large of a PC presence for it, especially if people are wary of it following the technical mess that was FF7R's port.
Just for the love of god make sure your release window is locked in solid and cannot be missed once you start up the marketing hype proper though.
Don't worry, when it does come out, there'll be a chunk of ya'll that'll rush through the game and beat it in 2-4 days anyway.
Dudes spent 150 hours on BotW and said it was a shitty game lol
Yoshi P is too good for this world, I want him to be available to deliver all the bad news in life. Get fired? Somebody died? Uber Eats cancels your delivery? I want Yoshi P there
Yeah I like the transparency. It sucks but can't be avoided with the pandemic and all
No kidding. I waited years for FF vs XIII only for it to come out 10 years after unveil as FFXV as well as a lot of development changes. I get it, people want more, shareholders want more. I'm fine waiting for quality products rather than forcing out a bunch of crap projects with a lot of technical issues just to appease the "now now now!" crowd.
nvm im FUCKING retarded
