I honestly thought this was a FFXV prequel in the first minute or so.
Lot of great lore looks, an amazing tone, but the gameplay looks meh.
I get a very FF14 feel from the character designs and the music... I want to know the creative team to confirm...
How is this next gen worthy haha, I mean we went back to more traditional roots, sure. But it doesn't look any better than FFVII Remake, have we plateaued?
I got a very strong Final Fantasy 14 meets Witcher 3 vibe from this.
I think the gameplay looks dope as hell, but other than the summons the setting and character designs look generic as fuck.
That has to be FFXV’s engine, right?
But damn, the summons look awesome

I miss the turn based stuff.

EDIT: Ragns got me
Aww fuck yeah.
Looking forward to the 2028 release.
Yoshida in charge has me a little more optimistic about the gameplay. Will have to see if SE finally learned some design and scope lessons after XV or not.
2022/23 is a dream. 24/25 minimum
SE needs to be REAL careful in not having a second flagship title stuck in development hell after XV. Both financially and for whatever reputation they may have left before that overall public opinion really starts to fall to Atlus.
Or hell, they may not care about anything besides the bottom line and grass graphic fidelity. Will be an interesting development cycle full of tells for the future of the series.
