Also the new HH is fucking insane. I do wonder how song potency is being adjusted now that encores aren't a thing anymore.

Even if it's still the same basic power level as the old HH it just feels absolutely amazing to play now. I played a lot of HH towards the end of Iceborne but I'm for sure going HH day 1 for Rise.
And a spammable heal is just wild
Apparently deleting your save data will reset the hunt limit back to 30 hunts. Need to test out some time so I can binge bubble boy.
I'm kind of just hoping for a similar thing to Iceborne, where an expansion comes with the new G Rank/Master Rank.
They'll absolutely release a G rank about a year later since that's always the cycle, just the question if it'd be a whole new release where you save transfers or as a DLC.
I mean the whole Japanese thing were you make people buy the game again for more content seems to be going away now that dlc has been streamlined.

I can't believe how good HH is. I have a 28min mitzu and can't break 30 with my usual GS/LS. Also it looks like there will be old style HH and not just this new type.
This is a lot of fun but playing portable and with a 2yr old running around, I don't want to play something that uses a ton of consumes or makes ammos and stuff mid hunt. Not sure what weapon to try next or what I'll start with as a main.
I'm surprisingly bad on the switch with LS, I rarely got the sword to red and I don't like using the wirebug for helm breaker. I don't like using the wirebug at all really. I'm leaning towards plug and play less buttons this iteration.
After doing a few runs of my mains (DB/Hammer) and learning the new moves figured I'd try HH after all the praise everyone was giving it. You were not kidding. It is so good now. Songs feel natural and it's incredibly fun. I am loving the wirebug. The added mobility is pretty insane and allows much more aggressive playstyle with escape or counter moves. Also surprised how good palamute feels. Controls really well. I could see people setting up actual races with them with the drifting. I am absolutely hyped for this game.
HBG wirebug counter is GREAT
I'm just imagining 4 HHs with the heal just spamming the heal note over and over which is also the HHs best exhaust attack.

Perfection
I am really curious how high HH goes in the usage rankings with the changes this shit is giving vibes of op charge blade in 4U.

LBG might be my main. I played a lot of it in MHW cause I died less with it on Kulve but man it is not bad. I really hate weapons that require more consumes and crafting and crafting mid fight even but this is not bad at all. I even scored a wirebug melee knockdown on mizutsune lmao.
Also I can't believe how fun DB's are. I only got a 31min clear but it's really got a lot of freedom. Still wanna give CB and LS another shot but at least I've narrowed it down to... half the weapons... LS/CB/HH/LBG/HBG.
So last night I break out hunting horn for the second time and get a 19:35 clear on mit. Don't even think he changed areas It was great, it's so freaking aggressive and mobile. Making my only times under 25 minutes LS LBG and HH which was five plus minutes faster.
I'm like I've got to beat that. Pull out my LBG and don't fuck around super aggressive ended up fainting twice almost left because I was pissed, restocked ammo on the second faint. Rathian walks in when I get there and I'm like sweet I'll mount him but I f'd up and just charge with it right away losing the mount, mitzu becomes mountable and I f that up charging into wall once right away. A few more thunder shots and it dies... 19:36. I kid you not one second difference I even took pictures of them with my phone lol.
10/10 best game ever

This March will see Capcom's Monster Hunter series return to the Switch with the all-new release, Monster Hunter Rise.
To celebrate, Nintendo is releasing a "special edition" Switch on 26th March for 38,400 yen (that's the same date as the launch of the game). The Switch, Joy-Con and dock are all appropriately themed, and there's also a code for a copy of the game.
Nintendo will also be offering a Pro Controller (sold separately). It's arriving on the same day for 7,480 yen.
Reservations for both the console and Pro Controller will start on 27th February. At the moment, this system has only been confirmed for Japan. We'll let you know if we hear anything else.
