Even without cross play for save transfer. Having 60+ fps and no input lag will make the game leaps and bounds better for me personally. Graphics are just a nice extra. Plus its not like you won't be able to mod to get back some of your progress.

Absolutely going to cheat engine my way thru the main story and give myself the charms I had in the switch version.
Once I'm caught up to roughly where I was before I'll turn it off
This was my experience with World, I quit PS4 ver after completing the story because the load times were killing me. I was sceptical about redoing the whole thing on PC, but it was just so much more enjoyable on that platform. I knew I'm not missing much by not being able to play the Switch ver, because I'll get the better experience down the road
I just waited for PC version. MH is my favorite game series, I'd rather experience it the best way possible, even if it means waiting a year or so. Pretty stoked that it's finally announced.
Having waited is also just going to make the process of gearing up so much more efficient.
The drip feed of content that was supposed to be in the original release led to the gearing meta change multiple times, and made the time spent of farming/crafting certain gear useless. Knowing off the bat that you don't have to burn hours upon hours trying to get a WEX 2 charm to have a playable build will be great
Yeah, it happened with World as well, waited for the PC release of that one too.
Demo is out on Steam if anyone want to check it out, whoever without training grounds it makes it very hard to play, controls are different than World and I feel as if what's shown in keybindings in options is not entirely accurate... e.g. I could not figure how to switch between coatings on a bow >.>;
Sonic event on the 26th:
This comes out on PC in less than 3 days for anyone that had been waiting/wanting to double dip.
Release kind of snuck up on me due to Endwalker.
Is multiplayer as much of a pain to do in this as it is in World? My friends and I got that one but barely played because of how annoying it is for us to get teamed up on stuff.
Well there's no waiting for cutscenes before you can join or anything
Hard to say what MP will be like for Steam vs Switch, I'd imagine.
Basically just that we can't just sign onto a mission and do it together from the start. Had a bunch of shenanigans to get through at the beginning before we could even team up. And then when we could team up we still had to do the mission solo until the cutscene happened before we could meet up.
my friends and I moved on to God Eater 3 because it lets us do literally everything together.
Ah right. That crap. It's coming together now.
There are cutscenes when you first hunt a monster but I believe they're skippable and happen before you load into the actual map so people should be able to join just fine.
Anyone know how to get it into 4k resolution?
Edit: NVM, apparently minimizing it to ask this and maximizing it back fixed it lol.
It's still clearly a game made for the Switch, but man they put serious work into this port and it looks really good.
And since it's RE engine it should be super moddable to further polish up the graphics.
So how different does PC feel from Switch? As much as I hate double dipping because of no cross save I'll admit Nintendo's online infrastructure is more trouble than it's worth.
