Glad to see tackle is still in, that was a great addition in World. Definitely looks like GS is following the MHW style of play (plus the new wirebug moves) as opposed to the old predominantly crit draw way.

Not sure what BG's policy is on hacked information, but Capcom got hit by a huge data breach part of which alleges "Monster Hunter Rise on PC releasing October 2021(?). Demos for Switch in January and March" according to a reddit post summarizing the leaks from resetera

I'm conflicted if true. I can only imagine how much better Rise will look at better rez/HQ textures if they pull a MHW.

It would for sure look better but having the portability factor back for MH is huge, especially since I believe LAN play is back

I wonder if they would let both versions of the game play together since it isn't Sony involved this time, or maybe even cross save.

I'm still definitely getting it on the Switch, but most likely would get it on PC too.

Maybe if the netcode is decent. Between games like Smash/Mario Maker I'm hesitant of any online gameplay wither other randoms playing on Switch.

EDIT: Come to think about it the only game I can recall where the online gameplay didn't feel like a disaster was Splatoon 2.

I haven't done a lot of it yet, but the online didn't seem too bad in MHGU.

I've had that game for about a year and a half or so and hardly touched it. I should get back into it some time.

I mean the netcode doesn't really *that* much in any monster hunter. If there's lag between the clients you'd be hard pressed to ever really notice.

Big doubt on this leak, if there was going to be a pc release of rise I don't think they would be so heavily advertising that it's an exclusive without it being a timed exclusive. Take MHW as an example that came out 7 months after the console release time. We knew that it was going to be out on PC and that it wasn't going to be locked to just consoles. It would be great if true but I'd take it with a mountain of salt.

Mantles will not be in rise, matchmaking is global and you can pause game in offline mode.
