yeah what's the point of that lol
why they ban anyone who isn't duping/wrecking the economy is beyond me
Used packet injection to get full inventory of kindred medals? This is fine
Run at 20%? BANNNNNNNNNNN
the game is purposefully designed to waste your time at every step of the way
You can summon a Mount on demand in like, 99% of zones these days and the ones you can't are instances where you're going to be stopping a lot. I hope he wasn't banned for 20% Move speed though that seems silly.
After what I saw in that stream last night, I am glad they were banned. Wasn't familiar with Ejin and joined in the stream to see how he was taking it as being banned does suck. The heading of "If anyone from SE sees this please help" wasn't encouraging, but hey some grief is expected.
All it was though was just another story of someone lost in themselves. Regularly insisting how if only SE had reached out to him privately then he would have toned it down. Trying to make it sound like everyone's problem because "no one is safe if they got me!" Upset that SE didn't give him the specifics on the banning as if they would do that differently or use a different message just because it was him. Fake humility that he "deserved it" which directly conflicts with his hours of rhetoric.
I am no fan of MrHappy as I don't know them, but simply don't find them enjoyable to listen to. However, he kept hammering away at "Well Mr Happy uses Dressup!" as he tried to frame everything in a way it was not. Even so far as directly yelling back at me "How is using DressUp not a huge advantage?!" and that it is "a bigger deal than JA0 for a WHM!" Obviously, he doesn't understand WHM well enough then.
Most disconcerting and dickish was near the end of that stream where he shifted scenes from Mr Happy's Bengazhi Dressup Scandal Act II to attacking the wiki. "BG violates the ToS too!", essentially 'why does SE ban me but not BG?'. I get the lashing out at me for saying he isn't special and SE isn't just going to treat him special, as that is easy. He already demonstrated a lack of any real integrity so why not?
Someone in the audience went so far as to make up some shit:
After I was done with my second bit-paid timeout I said that I have no idea what they are talking about, and was just told I wouldn't admit it anyway.Originally Posted by TomOlives.InEjin'sStream
Now, that is fine, but Ejin proceeded to immediately back the claim without a second thought and called it "a revelation".
"QQ leik, they banned their only Twitch partner!"
He won't learn, and he doesn't want to. This is all about him, and he is just another salty attention seeking asshole masquerading as some pillar of the community.Originally Posted by Ejin

sounds like you're incredibly salty that someone was profiting from their contributions to the game community
For those dumb enough to think bgwiki is an actor with an agenda, it is not. There's a .dat mining script that generates/alters pages automatically and that's why it has kept chugging along long after manually maintained resources like FFXIclopedia started becoming decrepit (thank you based Septimus).
Individuals do edit pages, but the bulk changes being discussed above are programmatic.
In thread-relevant news, I logged in for the first time in a month to check whether I was banned. I was not! Hooray!
You dont have to log in. You can go to the SE acct management page. If you're banned, you'll have some message about being able to create any service accounts to that SEID. The entire SEID is banned. I actually regret linking all my chars to the same SEID.
I suppose there is no drama around here because no one is really interested.
packet injection? is that possible?! O.o
Spoiler: show
Like Kevin Garnett, anything is possible...
