Have fun with him Obs. I really like Brodie but he was inconsistent as fuck and only really shined when he was paired with Gio

But when he's on, he's great. Moves the puck well, skates well, can add some offense. I think $5mil is a bit much but he'll be a good 2nd pairing guy

Edit: at 30 years of age, 4 years is great term too

I really fucking hope we're pairing him with Morgan. I think that pair would be dynamite.

Edit: Although thinking about it they may pair him with Muzzin and push Holl down the lineup, which is also fine I guess.

As much as I like him, I'm glad Vancouver walked away from 6 years for Markstrom. I wouldn't have even been too pleased with 5 years. He's 31 in January and I don't believe his contract will age well in CGY. Good for Markstrom though. He definitely got paid but he put himself in that position. Wish him luck.

Ohh, I dunno about that. we have 9 forwards and 5 D signed atm (goalies are done) and only $6.5mil or so left in cap space. Just gonna be depth signings from here on out. Albeit, now that I look on Capfriendly, that doesn't include Rinaldo or Robinson, both of whom will be 4th line guys, so, more like $6.5mil to get 3 or 4 more guys

Edit: That also doesn't include Mangiapane who's an unsigned RFA right now too. So we have 11 F and 5 D signed with 1 more F on the way for probably like $1.5~2mil or so.

So who knows, we might actually =X

Sad to see Marky and Tanev go, but the term just wouldn’t make sense for the Canucks.

If JB can still move Erickson or Sutter and sign another D, he may still have a job.
