Lebron signed a 2 year 85 mil extension with the Lakers
Welp there's the first domino to fall in Houston
Workout talk is cheap etc but KD and others working out with Wall saying he looks really good
I feel like it's not even that bad of a talent downgrade

I'd take a healthy Wall over Westbrook. Everyone outside of Houston knew Russ and Harden can't co-exist. There's at least a chance Wall and Harden can.

Wonder if the Lakers will 3-peat.
haven't seen Wall play in over a year but at his best i may give him a narrow edge over Russ. was an outstanding defender in his prime.
that said people forget how well Russ was playing when Houston went full spread offense and he stopped shooting 3's to assault the rim. last two months of the season dude was averaging 32 a game on 53%. just outstanding ball and the playoffs may have gone differently if he wasn't injured.
the problem is the Rockets blew it up by trading Capela to go all into RoCo then tossed dude out for chaff. i don't really see what kind of contention window they have without either of them.
They didn't let RoCo walk, they got 2 future firsts from Portland for him
why Ike, whatever do you mean
will also say Washington is looking a lot better. whatever else Russ is he's present and he competes and has enormous production volume. toss in a tremendously improved Beal and that might be the best backcourt in the NBA.
Russ/Beal have a better chance to mesh than Wall/Harden, imo
Hope Wall comes back at full force tho

It's a valid line of thought.
Lebron regressing due to age notwithstanding, I think everyone of moderate value on their roster outside of like... Kuzma is locked up for at least the next 2 years so it's not too outlandish to already consider a 3 peat being a possibility since their roster actually got better from the one that just won.
They may be favored next year but I don't see a huge margin between them and the Clippers/Nuggs/Bucks/Nyets etc
Keep in mind they didn't have to play the "best" teams by scoring differential in the playoffs as they avoided the Clippers, Bucks, Celtics

Unless Lue and the accompanying culture change is what it takes for the Clips, I don't see them still at the same top tier.
Nuggets lost Jerami Grant, who was huge for them in the bubble.
Bucks we'll see, I still don't trust Bud to competently manage his roster in the postseason considering what we've seen the last two years.
Nets idk, still all gonna depend on what KD looks like post achilles
