No surprises. Defiant (Skyward 4) is to be finished soon. Writing Stormlight 5 with a Rock focused novella somewhere for the entirety of 2022. Mistborn Era 3 (1980s sci fi) for 2023-2025. Stormlight 6 afterwards.
Stormlight 5 release date is Christmas 2023 or Q1 2024.

I’ll be spending the entire year writing Stormlight 5! So you can follow along, as always, with the percentage bars on my website.
I am 100% going big dick on that kickstarter. If I recall I was reading mistborn and not really paying attention to stormlight during the last kickstarter and I kicked myself so hard realizing what I missed out on. Luckily I was able to snag a few leather bound WoK a few months ago when he announced he had a surplus.
Excited for the Dawnshard audio! It’s kinda unreal we got WoK prime before Dawnshard audio.
Really excited to see Wax and Wayne being much longer. Really hoping to see Ghostbloods in Book 4.
Oh, and I read that correctly, we’re getting all of Era 3 BEFORE stormlight 6 or the start of it?
So Brandon took a break during the holidays. And by break, he halved his writing days to start working on the Prologue to Stormlight 5. The final POV of the fated party that started the War of Reckoning will be -Spoiler: show
He also finished up Cytonic #4 (Titled Defiant) last Wednesday in a 12 hour writing burst. Now he has 18 months to pump out this book and edit Wax & Wayne #4.
Yes the plan is to pump out all of Era 3 before starting the back half of Stormlight.
I loved reading his updates. Brando Sando just has a great way of communicating to his fans.
I want to introduce my wife to the Cosmere, but I can't decide where to start her. I started with Way of Kings myself, then read all of Mistborn era 1, then, WoR, Oathbringer, Warbreaker, Elantris, then RoW when it came out. I'm thinking I may try and start her off with Warbreaker to see if she likes it, but am interested in where others think she should start.
Warbreaker or Mistborn era 1 is where I send people. The Emperor's Soul is a bit more bite sized, not so daunting or a heavy investment, and it's standalone.
Yeah, Mistborn era 1 or Warbreaker first. Personally, I’d say Mistborn first if you’re setting her up for Cosmere. Then Warbreaker. If she’s already into high fantasy, then I’d say you have the option of Elantris next or Way of Kings. If she’s not too familiar with big high fantasy stories, then I’d say continue to break her in with Elantris before WoK
btw anyone actually read White Sand? I will probably wait for the rerelease or borrow it from the library if I'm bored enough.
