It did exist before the fall, none of this is based on your joke. The first human trials started in March for multiple vaccines.

I mean, I have friends who work at these companies and they weren't even confident in their results until the summer.

Sure, let's just skip a bunch of steps and test it in people, which is about the most unethical thing you can do when you are in the midst of a deadly pandemic without significant evidence it's not going to hurt them.

Could you imagine if there was a 1% chance of long term side effects for life and another 1% of that 1% die and you vaccinate 300 million people in the US, you still have 30,000 dead and 3 million with lasting side effects. And this is without any knowledge of the efficacy?

Any regulatory body in the world would not approve it with that high of a risk at the time back in March.

Stop looking at CoVID vaccine development with 20/20 hindsight. Also unknown whether different genetic ethnicities would have higher chance at side effects. There's just too much risk in haphazardly releasing a vaccine without proper trials.

What would have been just effective back in March was a federal response to control the pandemic. But such an idea is socialist. And any lockdown was considered anti-Christian because worshipers wanted their Lent and Easter celebrations in houses of worship.
