Well yeah he's tiny. It's why we desperately need Okongwu to play as a more dynamic defensive stopper than Capela

Losing to Quickley and freaking Knox playing lights out was painful.

He's somehow still shooting 40% from 3 this year after 0/5 last night but will probably settle closer to his 30% career mark. Still a solid player but he does miss a lot of FTs and turns over the ball a lot

He's kind of a poor man's Domantas Sabonis

Sabonis is a baller but Randle been looking like a point god out there. The ball has been moving wonderfully despite his usage going up which is wild - I really hope he can keep this up

Fun notes from games so far today -

Bradley Beal dropped 60 (Wizards still lost)
Gordon Hayward is currently sitting on 39 points with a few minutes to go

I can't decide if this is reassuring or not lol

Another ugly loss last night but still winnable, leading in the 4th quarter. It was also the first game all season we were down at half. Still a solid point differential at +4.3 despite the 4-4 record so hopefully more wins are coming...

definitely more encouraged, rather than less. trae young is a better player now than any of those guys ever were at their peak, and with a front office and franchise that has a plan.

my point really had more to do with a bunch of young guys trying to figure it out, but losing games they're not supposed to because of said youth. and that's where the front office plan takes over and fills in the gap with solid veterans, good coaches, and good player development (which was far and few in between for those clipper teams).

the clippers at the time tried to skip ahead of the curve by trading darius miles for andre miller. but miller absolutely detested the team and everything just went to hell.

Haha yeah I knew what you meant, was just joking about the ignominious end for that team

But yeah. If we end up bombing out, at least the draft is stacked next year

So Seth Curry popped hot for the rona today, but they didn't get the test results back until the game between the Sixers and Nets had already started.

Took him off the court (he was out with an injury but still sitting on the bench) and quarantined him... and then just kept playing the game.

Mavs-Nuggs game was a banger, Luka lookin a little less fat and more airborne, but god DAMN Jokic went nuts in the 4th. googled his stats on the season, dude is averaging 26-12-11 on 61%/47%/82%. Embiid/Gobert/AD are still significantly better defensively but Jokic is soooooo much better than any other big in the league offensively.

Jokic is the big man version of James Harden. Can literally do anything he wants on offense but is a straight up turnstyle on the defensive end.

I despise the man, but Harden is actually... ok on defense these days, at least when he tries. He puts up decent steal numbers and is a good defender in the post.

I'm assuming he found the energy to defend with how for the last couple seasons he does absolutely nothing on offense if he's not holding the ball.

Amazing what happens when Kerr finally leaves Oubre off the floor.

Just saw on Reddit that Warriors are 19th in 3PT% with 123/341 (36.1%), but if you took Oubre's shots out, they would be 4th with 117/296 (39.5%)

i like Oubre because he gave the sad sack Suns a lot of swagger when we needed it, helped forge an identity, but brother am i glad we dodged the bullet in resigning him to a fat contract.
