also damn losing to the Pistons like that. liked the Crowder signing but Jerami Grant was my favorite piece for us this offseason. he woulda balked at being a 3rd option, at best, but watching the one that got away scorch us and hit all the clutch shots do hurt.

i like Oubre because he gave the sad sack Suns a lot of swagger when we needed it, helped forge an identity, but brother am i glad we dodged the bullet in resigning him to a fat contract.

I have to assume at some point he'll stop missing so many goddamn shots, but that's not gonna help with his extreme tunnel vision once the ball touches his hands.

Seeing that the Rockets are keeping Harden out until a trade happens, and its down to the Nets and Sixers

It makes much more sense for the Nets. Their timeline is already accelerated based on Kyrie and KD age. Their window is limited

If I'm the sixers, I stick with Embiid and Simmons and hope that different surrounding pieces and coaching work out better than past years

You have to remember that even in the past they were only one Kawhi bounce from the finals(?)

I think they're way too close with two young franchise cornerstones to give one up for Harden and a much more limited window

A fair point, but Embiid is still an absolute monster and can be a go-to offensive player down the stretch. Harris has been killing it this season too and has always played well under Doc

Aside from that, is Harden really the answer to that question?

it's a sickening amount of talent. relying on Deandre Jordan as your only center will suck tho. and that locker room is going to be something.

though Durant and Harden reportedly got on just fine back in the day. Harden ain't a roleplayer anymore but i'm a lot more worried about Kyrie fucking things up, as he is presently doing.
